Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Your 5 Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha Safari begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Drive through the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley with a stopover at the Viewpoint that offers panoramic views of one of the world’s most remarkable geological features.
Arrive in your camp/lodge and check in with lunch before freshening up. Afterward embark on your first evening game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve that is famous for its rich biodiversity and dramatic scenery, offering a chance to spot some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. It has an altitude of 1,650 meters (5,414 feet) and forms part of the northern extension of the Serengeti, extending over 1,510 square kilometers (almost 600 square miles).
Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge/camp.
Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive to explore the vast Masai Mara National Reserve. This exciting day offers the chance to spot the Big Five lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and rhinos along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and numerous antelope species. Around midday, enjoy a packed picnic lunch near the Mara River, where you will enjoy the breathtaking views of the savannah and sounds of the wilderness. After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive, exploring different areas of the reserve to maximize your wildlife sightings before returning to your lodge/camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, check out. Optionally, you can visit a Masai village to learn about the traditions and culture of the Masai people before departing for Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at your lodge and check in with lunch before venturing for your afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is a beautiful soda lake located in the Great Rift Valley that is world-famous for its incredible birdlife. It is one of the best places for bird watching, with over 450 species of birds recorded here, including pelicans, cormorants, herons, and, during certain seasons, thousands of pink flamingos lining the lake’s shores. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the park that is home to a wide variety of wildlife and is a unique place in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos. You may also spot tree-climbing lions, leopards, buffaloes, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes (Rothschild’s), warthogs, baboons and many species of antelope.Return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, enjoy a short opportunistic morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park as you exit the park before departing for Lake Naivasha. Arrive at your resort in time for lunch and take some time to relax. Head out afterwards for a boat ride at Lake Naivasha where you’ll spot hippos wallowing in the water, fish eagles swooping down to catch fish and enjoy the tranquil scenery. Your 5 Days Masai Mara Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha Safari adventure continues with an optional visit to Crescent Island, a private game sanctuary. Crescent Island offers a unique walking safari experience where you can stroll freely among giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and antelopes, without the barriers of a vehicle. Return to your resort in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Nairobi
After breakfast, enjoy the breathtaking sunrise over Lake Naivasha, check out and depart Naivasha for your drive back to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon and proceed to your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.This marks the end of your 5 days Masai mara ,Lake Nakuru ,Lake Naivasha safari
